Our Club
Eastbourne Photographic Society is a friendly society aiming to encourage the enjoyment and practice of photography. All photographers from complete beginners to professionals will be assured of a warm welcome and we’re sure you’ll find something to enjoy and inspire.
We run a varied programme of talks, competitions, practical evenings and social events. Regular photographic trips are organised, according to members’ interest and demand, and all members are encouraged to get involved. The atmosphere is friendly and informal.
Subjects covered might include anything from basic camera techniques, using Lightroom and Photoshop to process your images, through to printing, presentation and how to achieve an RPS Distinction or PAGB Award for photographic merit.
During a normal club season, from August to May, you will find us at The Eastbourne & District Indoor Bowls Club every Tuesday evening for our main club nights.
We are proud to offer a varied programme of talks from distinguished guest speakers on subjects ranging from landscape and travel photography and audio-visual sequences to monochrome prints and even phone photography.
To assist members who would like to improve their photographic skills we also have a mentoring scheme.
If you are interested in becoming a member, feel free to attend one of our club meetings and experience what we do.
For a fee of £3 per meeting you can visit us twice before becoming a member. Take a look at our programme and choose a night to come along. (And don’t forget to bring some spare change if you’d like a tea and biscuit…)
