Alan Coole

As you’ve probably guessed from my portfolio, I am a wildlife nut and after I fully retired I decided to try my hand at photography so that I could not only observe wildlife but also enjoy looking at my own pictures of what I’d seen. I purchased a camera, and joined EPS. I did an online photography course to try and learn how to use a DSLR and, from then, learned as much as I could by talking to other photographers and by receiving critique from competition judges when I plucked up the courage to enter club competitions. To me, wildlife watching is a passion and now I photograph what I see I have the added bonus of being able to look back at my images whenever I like.
Like most other photographers I do try my hand at other genres which I enjoy but, in truth, I’d rather be out with the wildlife.
